January 29, 2026 — Baldwin County Fire Rescue units responded to a residential structure fire on Snyder Road, where crews from Engine 5, Engine 3, Squad 17, Battalion 1, Chief 1, and Chief 3 found a working fire upon arrival. Firefighters initiated an aggressive transitional attack, successfully containing the fire to one end of the home and preventing further spread. Investigators believe the fire was caused by a generator powering heaters and a light inside the residence. No injuries were reported, and all occupants escaped safely. Officials praised the coordinated efforts and rapid action of responding crews, noting the incident highlights the importance of safe generator and heating practices during colder conditions.
