Mutual Aid Supports Clinton at Residential Fire

The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 143 East Main Street on January 26 at 4:43 p.m., following a 9-1-1 call from the Town of Clinton Communications Center. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an active fire in the ceiling region of a bathroom that was spreading to other portions of the house. Crews obtained access to the affected area and worked immediately to open the ceiling and contain the fire. The fire was brought under control at 5:00 p.m., preventing additional spread and reducing damage to the home.

Mutual help was provided to Clinton firefighters on the scene by the Westbrook CT Fire Department, Madison Hose Co. No. 1, Old Saybrook Fire Department, and Guilford Fire Department.
