First-due units were dispatched to a reported house fire on Clover Lane in Upper Frederick Township at 11:50 a.m. A neighbor reported that a house behind her property, believed to be vacant, was on fire, but was unable to confirm the exact address. While en route, Upper Frederick Deputy 87 reported a visible header and immediately requested a working fire dispatch. Units from Lower Frederick 52, Upper Frederick 87, Green Lane 42, and New Hanover 37 were dispatched.

Deputy 87 arrived on scene and reported fire showing from the A/D sides of the residence, establishing Clover Lane Command. Ladder 52 and Squad 87 accessed the driveway and attempted to establish a water supply. At the 10-minute mark, interior crews reported water on the fire but heavy fire conditions in the attic. Command requested two additional engines and a tanker, later upgrading the request to a tanker task force due to the lack of hydrants in the area. Perkiomen 66, Red Hill 71, Upper Salford 78, Limerick 51, and Gilbertsville 67 responded, along with EMS units Freedom Valley 376 and Plymouth 308.

Interior crews reported the first floor was compromised, with significant holes making it difficult to reach the seat of the fire. A crew from Limerick Engine 51 deployed a 400-foot line and operated on the A/D side of the residence to extinguish persistent hotspots that were inaccessible from the interior. Tankers were directed to Perkiomen Valley Middle School as the fill site for the first-alarm tanker task force.

Harleysville Squad 89 was dispatched to stand by at Lower Frederick 52’s station for area coverage. The fire was placed under control at 12:44 p.m., and companies were progressively released from the scene. The address was later corrected to a house on the 700 block of Faust Road. Fire marshals immediately began investigating the cause of the fire, with Pennsylvania State Fire Marshals responding to assist.
