Catasauqua- At around 11:46 a.m. on January 6th, the Lehigh County 911 Center dispatched the CFD and the N. Catasauqua FD to an apartment building fire at 236 Second St. In the rear of this converted two and a half MOR apartment building they had smoke and fire showing. Also, those firefighters had to contend with outside arching wires on the first and second floors. Command requested a second alarm for more manpower with mutual aid companies responding. Eventually, a total of three lines were advanced into the fire building. During the fire, two firefighters received minor injuries, a resident was treated for minor burns, and a cat was rescued.
