Double block home destroyed by fire in Wyoming Borough,PA

Around 3:30pm Tuesday January 27th,2026 the Wyoming fire department 1st alarm strucutre fire box was dispatched for a reported structure fire with multiple calls on it. While enroute a large black header could be seen. Crews arrived with heavy fire showing on all sides of the structure. Crews went interior for a short time before being pulled out due to conditions deteriorating fast. Minutes after pulling crews out the roof collapsed along with the second floor. Crews battled the blaze in fridge temperatures and icy conditions. The double block stucture was under renovations and the cause of the fire is currently unknown but under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal.
