On January 20th around 3:00 pm the Upper Milford Western District, Vera Cruz, Hereford fire companies and Greenawalds fire company for RIT and Macungie EMS were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 5963 Furnace Hill rd in Upper Milford Township. Cheif 19 arrived on the scene and had a working dwelling fire and more tankers were requested. Crews went into service with handlines off of Rescue Engine 19 to bring the fire under control.
