During a water rescue at the Court Street Bridge in Hackensack on January 7, the Oradell Fire Department provided mutual help to the Hackensack Fire Department. A car veered off the road and into the Hackensack River, prompting the dispatch of crews. Firefighters using hackensacks entered the water and found the stranded driver. Crews secured the patient and worked to shift them to a safer place for removal using safety lines and flotation gear. As part of the coordinated reaction, Oradell firemen assisted with the operation.
