Englewood Cliffs Firefighters Assist With High-Angle Rescue Operation

As part of the East Bergen High Angle Rescue Team, the Englewood Cliffs Fire Department responded to an incident along the icy cliffs beneath Fort Lee Historic Park on January 28 at temperatures close to ten degrees. The Palisades Interstate Parkway Police were supported by the operation.

The Cliffside Park Fire Department, Closter Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Corp., Edgewater Fire Department, Englewood Cliffs Fire Department, Fairview Fire Department, Fort Lee Fire Department, and Ridgefield Fire Department are among the various agencies whose trained personnel comprise the East Bergen High Angle Rescue Team. These kinds of regional teams enable departments to pool resources and expertise for challenging rescue situations.
