Wood-Ridge Firefighters Respond to Attic Smoke Call on January 13th

The Wood-Ridge Fire Department was called to Raymond Street on January 13th in response to a report of smoke in the attic. Units responding included Chief 61, Chief 62, Squad 1, and Ladder 1.

Upon arrival, Chief 61 reported a strong odor of electrical burning throughout the residence and transmitted a 10-30, requesting additional resources to the scene. Firefighters conducted a search of the structure and located a burned power strip on the second floor, with minor extension to the floor area. The situation was controlled without further spread. Mutual aid departments assisted with operations on scene, while the Moonachie Fire Department and Little Ferry Hose Company No. 1 provided coverage for the borough. Chief Meglio, Chief Cribben, Chief Maloney, Truck 904, and Engine 901 also assisted during the incident.
