Yantic Responds to Plow Truck Fire

NORWICH, CT - At 3:42 A.M. on Saturday, January 29th, the Yantic Fire Company was dispatched to Julian Terrace for a city plow truck on fire. Car 38 arrived at 3:50 A.M. reporting a working truck fire about 30-feet from any exposures. Engine 31 arrived at 3:55 A.M. and stretched a one-and-three-quarter inch hose line to extinguish the fire. Command notified DEEP of a hydraulic fluid leak and the City Garage removed the vehicle.
