WALTHAM, MA - On January 28, 2022, Captain Tony Tamao retired after 36 years. He joined the Fire Department on November 3, 1985. Known to avoid the lime light, Tony was always a firefighter who could always get things done, never afraid to jump in and help out, a true firefighter's firefighter. He was assigned as Captain on Engine 1 Moody Street station.
