On the evening of January 25, the Frankford Township Fire Department, together with Beemerville Fire Company and Sussex Fire, responded to a second-alarm structure fire in Wantage Township with one engine and one tanker. With a full crew of six, Frankford's Engine 25 entered service in less than three minutes, while Tanker 25 did so in less than four minutes. When the command arrived, they saw a two-story, wood-frame house with intense fire coming from the Charlie (back) side. Several handlines were stretched, and a second alarm was requested. After helping with overhaul and suppression efforts, firefighters were able to contain the fire in about an hour. The house was seriously damaged.

Frankford firefighters covered Stations 1 and 2 to ensure township coverage as units worked on the incident. Just after 10:30 p.m., every Frankford unit was back in town and operational. Frankford Township incident Department thanks all mutual aid partners and keeps those affected by the incident in its thoughts.
