On January 14th, the Frankford Township Fire Department announced that it will introduce a new community-focused feature in 2026 with the goal of assisting locals in getting to know the personnel who operate the equipment. "When the Truck Stops" is a new series that will highlight department members multiple times a month and provide brief insights into their lives outside of the firehouse. The series will begin with 2026 Chief Michael “Mikey” Dann, who is serving his second term as chief and has been an officer with the department for 23 years. According to department representatives, the program aims to improve ties within the community by showcasing the Frankford Township volunteers.
