Squad 64 Responds to Animal Rescue Call in Stratford

Stratford, NJ — January 20 — On January 20, the Stratford Fire Department's Squad 64, located at 311 E. Laurel Road, responded to a reported animal rescue near Bryant Avenue and Laureba Avenue. When the crews arrived, they discovered a dog stuck inside a storm drain. In order to remove the animal without injuring anyone, firefighters worked to safely access the drain. After being successfully set free, the dog was examined on the spot and given back to its owner. There were no reported injuries. Fire department operations frequently involve animal rescue calls like this one, which necessitate meticulous coordination to guarantee a safe ending. After verifying that the area was secure, Squad 64 evacuated the location and resumed operations.
