West Berlin, NJ — January 14th — In response to recent house fire accidents, the West Berlin Fire-Rescue, located at 186 Haddon Avenue, performed block inspections on January 14. Firefighters went to streets where there had been fires and gave locals the chance to have their carbon monoxide and smoke alarms tested. To make sure they would give early warning in an emergency, crews examined alarms for correct placement and functionality. Firefighters supplied and fitted new alarms at no cost to the resident when flaws were discovered. The department's continuous efforts to prevent fires and promote public safety include block inspections. Working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms continue to be a crucial component in lowering casualties and enhancing results during home fire events, according to officials.
