Stratford, NJ — January 2 — After responding to 468 service requests, Stratford Fire Department Station 64, located at 311 E. Laurel Road, closed in 2025. Workplace fires, auto accidents, and various public assistance incidents within the borough and its environs were among the incidents. Members continued to be involved in community outreach in addition to emergency operations, taking part in events including the Tunnel to Towers run, Operation Santa, and Stratford's 100th anniversary celebrations. According to department officials, maintaining operational readiness is aided by ongoing assistance from locals, companies, and community partners through outreach, contributions, and fundraisers. Station 64 will start 2026 with an emphasis on training, readiness, and ongoing community service.
