Oaklyn, NJ — January 5 — With assistance from the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Oaklyn, the Oaklyn Fire Department, situated at 20 W. Clinton Ave., finished a hose replacement project this week. On Squad 18, members replaced outdated supply lines with 1,500 feet of brand-new 4-inch Key Hyflow large-diameter tubing. Additionally, 600 feet of 1½-inch Key Combat Ready attack hose were changed by crews on Ladder 18 and Squad 18. A crucial component of equipment maintenance is hose replacement, which promotes dependable water delivery, firefighter safety, and effective operations. While maintaining frontline equipment prepared for duty throughout the borough and neighboring areas, the enhancements support regular responses and mutual aid assignments.
