Mount Ephraim, NJ — Jan. 3 — At a four-alarm building fire on Mt. Ephraim Avenue, members of the Mount Ephraim Fire Department arrived with Squad 4 to help the City of Camden. As the situation worsened and more resources were needed, the unit was sent out as part of a mutual aid reaction.

Under the established incident command system, Squad 4 worked on the scene with Camden fire companies during suppression operations. Channel 3 caught the squad's arrival at the fire scene as part of the local media coverage. The department maintained coverage within Mount Ephraim by manning an engine for any further calls, even though Squad 4 was dedicated to the Camden incident. Assistance may be given while still being prepared to defend the home community thanks to the coordinated reaction.
