Magnolia, NJ — Jan. 25 — In order to maintain emergency medical coverage throughout the borough during a winter snow event, members of Magnolia Fire Company 29 collaborated with the Magnolia Ambulance Corps. Firefighters helped with all medical situations in addition to their regular fire response responsibilities to help overcome access issues brought on by deep snow.

While traffic circumstances remained challenging, this coordinated approach enabled prompt patient contact, treatment, and transportation. In order to preserve safe and effective care delivery, firefighters helped EMS crews with scene access, patient mobility, and general operational support. Members of the department also thanked the community for its support during the storm. Fire officials thanked the DiBartolomeo family, who live in the borough, for feeding firemen working at the firehouse during the snow event a homemade dinner.
