Clementon, NJ — Jan. 2 — In response to an All Hands fire at a storage facility in Lindenwold, members of Clementon Fire Rescue Station 61 joined Squad 61. When fire circumstances necessitated more resources, the unit was sent out as part of a mutual aid reaction. After reporting to incident command upon arrival, Squad 61 was tasked with working with several local and regional fire companies to support suppression efforts. While staff tried to limit the spread of the fire within the building and safeguard nearby exposures, crews assisted with fireground operations. While the situation was under control, firefighters were on the scene for a considerable amount of time. Local officials are still looking into the source of the fire, and mutual aid partners were crucial in keeping the fire covered.
