South Wall Fire Rescue Mourns Passing of Past Chief Thomas E. Johnson

Jan 1st — Wall Township, NJ: The South Wall Fire Rescue Department announced the passing of Past Chief Thomas E. Johnson, a longtime member known to many as Tommy.
Tommy, passed away, according to the South Wall Fire Rescue Department. Johnson began working for the department in 1986 and held a number of positions before winning the position of Chief of Department in 1998. By the end of 1999, he had served as chief. Johnson continued to respond to incidents in the Township of Wall while supporting daily operations, department management, and training during his years of service. During a time of change for the department in the late 1990s, members praised his unwavering leadership. On January 4 at 5:30 p.m., O'Brien's Funeral Home hosted a fire service. The department extended its condolences to Johnson’s family and thanked him for his years of service and dedication to the community.
