Brooklawn, NJ — January 24 — An all-hands residence fire on County House Road in Deptford Township prompted the Brooklawn Fire Company to react on mutual aid. To assist with fireground operations, Cascade 344 was dispatched to the scene. The unit provided breathing air support to firemen on the scene while operating under the guidance of incident command. During prolonged events, cascade units are an essential tool for staff to safely continue operations and swap air cylinders on the spot.

In order to guarantee that there is adequate personnel, equipment, and support services available, all-hands responses bring together several departments. This kind of mutual aid reaction highlights how crucial regional cooperation is while fighting flames. Cascade 344 was released by command and put back into service after fulfilling its mission and being deemed unnecessary.
