Fire Chief Archie Roemmich, the oldest and longest-serving member of the department, passed away, and the Billingsport Fire Association is in sorrow. Chief Roemmich served his department and the community with consistent leadership and a lifetime dedication to the fire service over his 65 years with the Billingsport Fire Association. His contribution had a long-lasting effect on the organisation and spanned generations of firemen. Recognising the loss suffered by the whole local fire service community, the Logan Township Fire Department sent condolences to the Roemmich family, the Billingsport Fire Association, and the Paulsboro Fire Department.
