Brooklawn, NJ — January 10 — For their yearly mandatory training, members of the Brooklawn Fire Company joined mutual assistance partners from the National Park Fire Department and the Westville Fire Department.

Respiratory protection, traffic incident management, confined space operations, hazardous materials awareness, bloodborne pathogens, and other crucial safety issues were all covered in the course. To make sure members are still ready for emergency operations, these topics must be evaluated annually. The New Jersey Division of Fire Safety and Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health has mandated the training curriculum. Consistent procedures, operational preparedness, and safe response across agencies are all facilitated by cooperative training with nearby departments.
