Utility 39 Responds to Medical Call in Dividing Creek

Dividing Creek, NJ — January 1 — In response to an emergency medical services call, the Downe Township Fire/Rescue and Dive Team arrived in Dividing Creek. Utility 39 was sent to assist on-site EMS personnel. While patient care was being provided, firefighters helped coordinate the scene and supplied extra personnel. While EMS personnel assessed and treated the patient, the unit stayed on site to assist in keeping the scene orderly and safe.


On EMS events, fire-rescue teams are frequently called in to help with patient mobility, access problems, and general scene support. All responders benefit from increased efficiency and safety as a result of these cooperative responses. Utility 39 was released by command and put back into duty after EMS procedures were finished and the patient was transported.
