Multi-Agency Response to Bayonne Power Outage

Bayonne, NJ — January 7 — Following reports of a power outage on Kennedy Boulevard between 48th and 49th streets, several agencies coordinated their response. Units from PSE&G and the Bayonne Fire Department were sent to the area to handle the outage, according to the Bayonne Office of Emergency Management.
While utility technicians attempted to determine the cause of the power outage and initiate restoration efforts, firefighters helped ensure scene safety. Area safety and traffic control were backed by the Bayonne Department of Public Works and the Bayonne Police Department. While workers resumed their efforts to safely restore service, officials warned drivers to stay away from the area.
