Firefighters Recognized for Cross Keys Airport Rescue Efforts

Williamstown, NJ — January 8 — The annual Gloucester County Fire Chiefs Association Awards Banquet, when firemen from several agencies were honored for their bravery during an aircraft crash on July 2, 2025, at Cross Keys Airport in Monroe Township, was attended by members of the Williamstown Fire Department. Fire, EMS, and law enforcement services had to work together to respond to the event, which involved an aircraft carrying fifteen people.


The Williamstown, Glassboro, and Washington Township fire departments were recognized for their life-saving actions on the scene. Fire Chief Patrick K. Mason was also honored with the Chief's Achievement Award for his five years of service to the department and the people of Monroe Township.
