Washington Township, NJ — 8th January — In response to a reported house fire, the Washington Township Fire Department dispatched mutual-aid teams to Mansfield Drive. When units arrived, they discovered a fire in the home's basement. In order to verify that every individual was present, crews pushed hoselines into the building and carried out primary searches. Firefighters examined for extension to make sure conditions were steady throughout the house after swiftly putting out the fire. There were no recorded injuries to firefighters or civilians. Fire departments from Glassboro, Mantua, Pitman, Williamstown, and Deptford were among the supporting organizations. Before being discharged, units stayed on the site to finish overhauls and safety inspections. Fire officials are looking into what caused the fire, and operations ended without any more incidents.
