Structure Fire on Peach Street Contained With Mutual Aid Assistance

January 4, 2026 — The Hammonton Fire Department responded at approximately 3 p.m. to a reported structure fire on Peach Street, where firefighters arrived to find a fully involved single-story residence. The first-arriving apparatus quickly initiated an interior fire attack, bringing the bulk of the fire under control shortly thereafter. Crews remained on scene for overhaul and safety operations before clearing the incident around 4:30 p.m. Mutual aid assistance was provided by the Collings Lakes Fire Department and the Elwood Fire Company. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters, and the incident was safely concluded through coordinated response efforts.
