Vehicle Enters Hackensack River Near Court Street Bridge

HACKENSACK, NJ - The City of Hackensack Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle in the Hackensack River on January 6th, near the Court Street Bridge. Crews arrived and verified that a car had gone into the river, trapping one person inside. Rescue efforts were started by fire department personnel, who were successful in removing the person from the car. After that, the patient was moved to awaiting EMS units for assessment and treatment.
