Jackson, NJ — January 1 — Jackson Fire District No. 3 had its busiest year yet, with Station 55 handling 1,513 calls. The increase is a result of increased manpower and coverage hours as well as ongoing residential and commercial growth throughout the area. Fire Districts 2 and 3 reinforced a shared coverage agreement that started in 2024 with weekend coverage and then added holidays in response to growing demand. The agreement was extended to complete 24-hour coverage in both districts in 2025, which improved unit availability and response dependability.
