241 Calls Highlight Active Year for Bay Head Firefighters

Bay Head, NJ — January 8 — A busy year of community involvement was highlighted in the Bay Head Fire Company No. 1's 2025 Year in Review. A total of 241 service requests were handled by the department. These were 18 carbon monoxide alarms, 23 reported fires, and 151 fire alarms. In addition, a number of wire-related events, car crashes, elevator rescues, gas spills, water rescues, and mutual aid reactions were handled by the crews. Additionally, one landing zone assignment and one hazardous materials response were noted.


The agency reported ongoing training and growth in addition to emergency responses. During the year, nine new firemen joined, including one new Fire Police officer and three probationary members. The department's leadership attributed the year-round readiness to community support, mutual assistance partnerships, and member commitment.
