WAYNE, NJ — January 3 — Throughout the day, the Community Volunteer Fire Company #1, Inc. handled a variety of emergency circumstances in Wayne Township by responding to three different incidents. In one case, there was a reported carbon monoxide problem. Before vacating the area, firemen looked into the situation, checked the atmosphere, and made sure it was safe.

Later, crews were sent to an elevator rescue, where they helped residents and collaborated with building personnel to find a safe solution. Firefighters secured the scene and worked with other agencies to handle any risks during the third reaction to a reported utility fire. All three incidents were handled without reported injuries. Department officials noted that training and teamwork allowed members to operate efficiently across different types of calls.
