PITTSGROVE TWP., NJ — January 1 — As a member of Task Force 24, the Willow Grove Fire Company NJ responded to a reported structure fire on Applewood Lane. When Tender 24-5 arrived first, they saw multiple burning sheds at the back of the property. While other firms responded to give water and personnel, crews set up handlines and started suppression attempts.

As operations grew, engines, ladders, tenders, rescues, EMS, and a rapid intervention crew were assigned. While Salem County Fire Police helped with traffic and scene control, firefighters concentrated on confining the fire and safeguarding surrounding structures. Command contained the fire and discharged a number of units at 12:29. There were no reported injuries. The Pittsgrove Township incident Officials Office is still looking into what caused the incident.
