Crews Handle Utility Pole Crash on Landis Avenue

PITTSGROVE TWP., NJ — December 26 — On Landis Avenue, close to Can House Road, the Norma-Alliance Volunteer Fire Rescue responded to a car accident involving a power pole. Command was established by 24-10. Units 24-1, 24-9, 22-9, Squad 35, and the New Jersey State Police were sent out.
Responders found a single car with three people inside when they arrived. Every occupant was found to be unharmed after a scene examination. To ensure safe evacuation and thorough patient evaluation, Rescue 22-9 used extrication equipment to gain entry to one door as a precaution. While personnel worked, utilities and traffic risks were monitored and managed. After the initial activities, Squad 35 was released. There were no patients transported. After the scene was stabilized and law enforcement was consulted, the incident was declared over.
