Carneys Point, NJ — January 13 — At a car accident involving entrapment on Interstate 295, the Carneys Point Fire Dept. & Rescue Squad Inc., located at 258 D Street, helped Stations 3 and 2. After responding, Rescue 11 and Ladder 11 were tasked with extrication operations. In order to gain entry to the car and safely evacuate the stranded driver, crews collaborated. After being released, the patient was sent to the on-site EMS and paramedic units for additional care and transportation. To control traffic risks and uphold scene safety, fire, rescue, EMS, and mutual assistance partners worked together under a single command. The synchronized response made clear how crucial interagency cooperation, communication, and training are in complicated traffic situations.
