Together with the Cranford First Aid Squad, the Cranford Fire Department finished combined vehicle extrication training on January 18. Coordinated operations, patient access, and safe vehicle stability during auto accidents were the main topics of the training. In order to practice tool placement, disentanglement procedures, and interagency communication, firefighters and EMS professionals worked through a variety of scenarios. Crews were able to reaffirm roles and duties while working together under realistic situations thanks to the collaborative effort.
