Mutual Aid Assists at Working Structure Fire in Byram Township

Byram Township, N.J. — January 11th — Due to an active fire alarm, the Byram Township Fire Department was sent to the Tamarack Road sector. The Byram Township Police Department discovered an active fire on the third story upon arrival. When Chief 43-1 arrived, he escalated the situation to a working structure fire and asked neighboring departments for assistance.
Firefighters advanced lines, put out the fire, and assessed whether it had spread to neighboring regions. To make sure there was no more hidden fire, overhaul activities were finished. After the situation was brought under control, no injuries were reported, and the scene was cleaned. The incident Official's Office is still looking into what caused the incident.
