December 30, 2025 — Lititz Fire Company No. 1 announced several officer promotions during its business meeting Monday night, recognizing the dedication, leadership, and service of its members. Fire Chief Chief Miller confirmed that Firefighter Ira King and Firefighter Dylan Hall have both been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, while Lieutenant Mike Madara has been promoted to Captain. The newly promoted officers join Captain Ryan Balmer and Lieutenant Kevin Ford as the department’s line officers, effective immediately. Company leadership noted that the promotions reflect continued commitment to training, operational readiness, and the ability to lead during complex emergency incidents. Officials emphasized that strong leadership remains critical as the volunteer department continues to respond to fires, rescues, and emergencies throughout the Lititz area.
