Quick Coordination Stops House Fire in Netcong

Netcong, New Jersey — December 26 — Department A residential structure fire with potential entrapment was reported on Togno Street, prompting Netcong Hilltop Fire Company No. 2, situated at 49 College Road, to react.


As a precaution, Chief 1 asked the Budd Lake Fire Department for a Rapid Intervention Crew while travelling. When police arrived, they verified that the fire was electrical in nature and that everyone had left the house. The original fire was put out by the homeowner and patrol officers using fire extinguishers. After entering the house, Engine 1 workers broke through the fire room's walls and put out any residual flames. There were no reported injuries when the incident was brought under control. Early action, cooperation, and mutual aid support, according to officials, helped minimize damage and preserve scene safety.
