Boonton Township Fire Department Recognizes New Graduates

Boonton Township, New Jersey — December 18 — Members who successfully completed the mandatory training program were recognised at the Morris County Fire Academy's 2025 Firefighter One and Firefighter Two graduation. Firefighters Joseph Mongiovi and Jake Westenberger of the Boonton Township Fire Department were among the graduates.


Over the course of the year, the two members finished almost 250 hours of classroom instruction and practical training. The course concentrated on the fundamental firefighting techniques, safety protocols, and operational requirements necessary for battling interior structural fires. Following the ceremony, which marked the conclusion of their training, Joseph Mongiovi and Jake Westenberger were photographed with Chief Michael Como Jr. According to the Boonton Township Fire Department, which is situated on Old Denville Road in Boonton, New Jersey, ongoing training promotes preparedness and ensures that the community is served safely and effectively.
