Wanamassa, New Jersey — December 22 — The Wanamassa Fire Company sent holiday pleasantries to the community it serves on the eighth night of Chanukah. The eight-night celebration of Chanukah honours values of faith, tenacity, and tradition that are still relevant today.

A menorah was on display at the fire department's station during the holiday season as a visible symbol of the celebration. The department thanked Chabad of the Shore for their kind donation of the menorah. Events such as this highlight the value of community ties beyond emergency responses for emergency services professionals. According to the Wanamassa Fire Company, which is based at 2001 Sunset Ave. in Wanamassa, New Jersey, Chanukah is a time for harmony, introspection, and camaraderie.
