Mutual Aid Dispatched for Plainfield Structure Fire

Plainfield, New Jersey — December 24 — Truck 7 was sent to a structure fire in the 800 block of St. Marys Avenue in the City of Plainfield, according to the South Plainfield Volunteer Fire Department, which has its headquarters at 123 Maple Avenue.


The Plainfield Fire Department was acting as the incident command agency, and Truck 7 responded as part of a mutual-aid assignment to support them. Crews prepared for possible truck company operations while travelling, such as overhaul support, higher master stream use, and ventilation. Units were still responding and conditions were being assessed at the time of reporting. As operations developed and command designations were verified, more details were anticipated to be made public.
