South Amboy, New Jersey — January 3 — The chief officers for the upcoming year have been revealed by the South Amboy Fire Department's Enterprise Truck 8, located at 107 George Street. Michael Kelly is assigned to Truck 8 of Enterprise Hook and Ladder Company after being named Chief of Department. Charles Honimar, who works with Protection Engine Company, Engine 6, was appointed First Assistant Chief. Kenneth Kokoszka was chosen to be the Second Assistant Chief and assigned to Engine 7 of Independence Engine and Hose Company.

The chiefs will be in charge of emergency response preparedness, training coordination, and department operations. In order to enhance public safety in South Amboy and the neighboring areas, officials stated that the leadership team will continue to collaborate with regional mutual-aid partners and reflect experience from several businesses.
