Paterson 2nd Alarm Fire Injures Two Firefighters, One Person Rescued

A Working Fire In a 2 1/2 Story Wood Frame dwelling with fire on the second floor, extension into the Exposure D building that was deemed vacant. Reported 1 Victim trapped in the original fire building was transported by Paterson EMS to St Joseph's Hospital, plus two firefighters injured at the scene were also transported.

PATERSON, NJ - A second alarm was struck at 256 Pacific Street on January 3, 2026 for a working fire in a two-and-a-half-story wood-frame dwelling with fire on the second floor that was extending into the Exposure D building which was deemed vacant.
One victim that was reported trapped in the original fire building was transported by Paterson EMS to St Joseph's Hospital with unknown injuries. Two firefighters injured at the scene were also transported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
