Middlesex Borough, NJ — December 11 — A residential structure fire in Middlesex Borough prompted a mutual aid request for Truck 66 from the New Market Fire Department, located at 801 South Washington Avenue in Piscataway. The crew was given truck company duties to assist with fireground operations as soon as they arrived. In order to offer access and secondary egress, firefighters installed ground ladders to the roof and to several windows serving rooms where interior crews were working. Coordinated suppression efforts and firefighter safety were enhanced by these methods. Together with the Middlesex Borough Fire Department's command and interior operations, truck operations were crucial. Truck 66 cleared the area and resumed service after finishing the tasks assigned to it, staying available for further requests.
