East Brunswick, NJ — December 21 — The Old Bridge Volunteer Fire Department's new Hurst Vetter rescue airbag system was the subject of a combined training session between members of the East Brunswick Independent Fire Company and the department. Rescue experts from MES Life Safety conducted the training, going over safe practices, lifting methods, and correct deployment.

Using recently acquired E2 eDraulic extrication equipment, crews also rehearsed vehicle extrication techniques. In order to maintain service throughout the township, the Milltown Fire Department Inc. used Ladder 73 to provide station coverage while training was in progress. The focus of the session was on practical training, familiarization with equipment, and ongoing collaboration between local fire departments.
