Colonia, NJ — December 17 — On the Garden State Parkway, Colonia Volunteer Fire Department personnel were responding to a car accident. The incident happened before Exit 132 on the southbound side of the road.

Crews coordinated operations with law enforcement and emergency partners, addressed roadway hazards, and established scene safety as soon as they arrived. The Garden State Parkway southbound was narrowed to one lane due to emergency activities so that responders could operate safely. While emergency personnel worked along the highway, drivers were cautioned to exercise caution and anticipate delays. Firefighters stayed on the scene until traffic movement could be safely eased and conditions stabilized.
