Maple Avenue Incident Draws New Brunswick Fire Response

New Brunswick, NJ — December 17 — There was a reported structure fire on Maple Avenue between Somerset Street and Brookside Avenue, and units from the City of New Brunswick Fire Department were responding. After arriving on the site, crews assessed the building's fire conditions and started suppressing the fire.


To assist scene safety, ventilation, and interior operations, more resources were allocated. Firefighters sought to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the building. Drivers were instructed to stay away from the area while traffic control was in place. At the time of the incident, no injuries were recorded. Before starting a standard investigation into the cause of the incident, fire crews stayed on the spot to finish overhauling and secure the building.
