BLOOMING GROVE, NY - At 12:23 P.M. on December 31, 2023, the Washingtonville Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Farmingdale Road in the Town of Blooming Grove. Upon arrival, units found one vehicle that collided with a tree. The operator of the vehicle was on the ground, outside the vehicle with serious injuries. Washingtonville Fire Department personnel assisted the Blooming Grove Volunteer Ambulance Corps with transferring the patient to the ambulance and established a landing zone in the parking lot of a nearby church. The driver of the vehicle was transported to Westchester County Medical Center by helicopter. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Blooming Grove Police Department.
